DESIGN PROCESS.

INITIAL CONSULTATION

The initial meeting on-site is a great opportunity for us to get to learn a bit about each other and to understand your requirements and ideas for your project. It is important to get a feel for your garden, its surroundings and your inspirations, likes and dislikes. Following this meeting we would write up a brief for your approval.

SITE SURVEY & ANALYSIS

Before we start any design work it is important to carry out a survey of the garden to understand the relevant dimensions, shape, gradients and positions of existing features. For small, uncomplicated gardens we will usually carry this out ourselves during the initial meeting. This will allow us to draw up an accurate plan of the garden.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT & MASTERPLAN

This is where the design comes together, Initially we would put together several proposals which would include sketch plans, a computer model to show the 3D perspective views. This is a base for discussion and allows for modifications to take place. After this, a plan of the preferred option is created which would include visuals, details of planting styles and hard landscaping materials to be used.

DETAILED DESIGN & SPECIFICATION

The detailed design provides the technical drawings in order for the landscaping team to build the garden. This includes setting out plans, construction drawings and services such as drainage and lighting plans. We are also recognized by the Charted Institute Of Architectural Technologists meaning that we work to the highest design and technical standard.
